Mission of Turningpoint Rescue

We have started this endeavor (in 2011) to fulfill a lifelong dream to mutually benefit both the animals at traditional shelters and people at a turning point in their lives.  Born out of a love and respect for all animals, we see Turningpoint Rescue as a way of making something very special happen between people and animals, each giving love to the other and changing lives in the process.

Our Mission is to search out well extraordinarily tempered animals from local shelters which would otherwise be destroyed, then while providing them housing, food and love at Turningpoint Rescue, seek out caring individuals and families who wish to adopt them for a minimal cost covering their care.

 

We use many modern communication methods to do this including e-mail and Facebook, but we understand that only face-to-face interaction between the animal and people will lead to a mutual match and a special bond. 

 

We also have a dream of offering interaction between troubled children and a loving dog as a method of recuperative therapy, perhaps leading to the eventual adoption of the animal by the child's family.

 

Turninpoint is not operated for net profit and all who participate share the vision of the value of friendship between animals and their owners.
