CG-5 Mount with a Celestron C102

I've upgraded to a CG5 goto. I no longer guide. Almost all imaging done with the setup pictured here. CG5, C102, XTi unmodified, TC80N3 timer modified by Hap Griffin. From setup to shooting is about 10 minutes including polar alignment.

CG-5 with Tamron lens

This is the setup I used to take the Rosette Nebula image. (10/28/2007).  Amvona heavy-duty tripod head.

Celestron 102mm Wide View refractor, Baytronix 80mm
short tube guide scope, Orion 12mm plossl guide
eyepiece, Canon 10D DSLR, Chinese clone CG5-type
mount, kitchen timer
This is a handmade Newtonian, 6-inch, f/8.  Made from a
sonotube laminated with African Mahogany, this scope
features a lateral focuser which provides sufficient
back-focus for all photographic setups (prime focus,
positive/negative projection, etc.)  Mounted on an
Orion SkyView Pro EQ.
A Meade DS2130AT 5-inch f/8 reflector on an alt-az
GoTo mount. Shown with Orion Steadypic afocal adapter
holding a Pentax Optio S5i camera. The eyepiece is an
Orion Expanse 20mm wide-view (66º field of view).
This extreme wide-angle shot shows all the sky
available from my patio here in Santa Barbara, CA. I
have no western sky at all, and considerable light
pollution to the east and north. The Pacific Ocean is
to the south, my darkest sky.
